Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood is a charming neighborhood nestled along the shores of Lake Washington and Portage Bay.

The neighborhood is located south of the University of Washington, connected by the Montlake Bridge which traverses Montlake Cut, a beloved spot for the Opening Day of Boating Season. To the east of Montlake is the Washington Park Arboretum and Madison Park, to the west is Eastlake, and to the south is Capitol Hill. Montlake’s business district along 24th Avenue East features restaurants, like local favorite, Café Lago; a branch of the Seattle Public Library; shopping; and amenities. With most homes built before 1940, Northwest Craftsman bungalows and Tudor are popular home styles. The neighborhood has a very active community club that keeps residents both informed and involved.
